Build a simple electric motor
Electric motors are the devices that convert electrical energy into mechanical energy.
Materials:
Battery 1.5Volt
2 circular magnets
Insulated copper wire
Procedure:
Place the two magnets on the negative pole of the battery. Shape the wire as it is shown in the image and place it on the positive pole of the battery. The two ends of the wire must be in contact with the magnets. Watch it spin!!
Explanation:
The electric current flows through the wire, which is located within the magnetic field of the magnet. Current in a closed loop also creates its own magnetic field. The magnetic field of the magnet then interacts with the magnetic field of the wire and causes the wire to rotate continuously.
